Oura integration with FitnessSyncer FAQ

What kinds of data can I read or publish to Oura?
You can read the following data types from Oura:
- Activity
- Oxygen
- Sleep
You cannot publish any data to this service at this time.
Can I get all my history from Oura?
Yes, FitnessSyncer Pro users can use the Historic Sync feature to get all of the data available.
How do I get started with Oura and FitnessSyncer?
The easiest way to get started is to follow our Getting Started Guide, which will walk you through how to exchange data between Oura and many other services!
Are you looking to get more out of our Oura integration? Check out our How It Works, which will walk you through how to unlock the full power of FitnessSyncer.
Do you support Oura’s V2 API?
Yes, we do!
How soon after my ring syncs does FitnessSyncer see the data?
Usually within a few minutes. Oura tells us as soon as one of your records is created or changed, so we come and collect it rather than waiting for the next scheduled check. That covers sleep, workouts, daily activity and blood oxygen.
Two things still take a scheduled check. Anything Oura does not notify us about, such as your VO2 max, arrives on the next sync, and so does everything recorded before you connected, which comes across when you run a historic sync.
What activity data do you bring across from Oura?
Two kinds, and you will see both in your Stream:
- A daily summary for each day, carrying your steps, your active calories, the walking-equivalent distance Oura calculates, and how much of the day you spent sedentary, lightly active, moderately active and very active.
- Each workout your ring recorded, with the sport, the label you gave it, its distance, its duration, its calories and how intense Oura rated it.
Your heart rate readings for the day are attached to the daily summary as a heart rate track, so it charts like any other activity, and your VO2 max arrives there too on the days Oura measures it.
My daily summaries are arriving but my individual workouts are not; why?
Almost always because your Oura connection is older than our support for workouts, so the permission to read them was never granted. Oura does not add a permission to a connection that already exists, so it has to be granted again.
Disconnect Oura on your Sources page and connect it again. Approve the request Oura shows you, then run a Historic Sync to bring back the workouts you missed in the meantime.
