Ultrahuman Ring AIR and M1 integration with FitnessSyncer FAQ

What kinds of data can I read or publish to Ultrahuman?
You can read the following data types from Ultrahuman:
- Activity
- Glucose
- Oxygen
- Sleep
- Temperature
You cannot publish any data to this service at this time.
How do I get started with Ultrahuman and FitnessSyncer?
The easiest way to get started is to follow our Getting Started Guide, which will walk you through how to exchange data between Ultrahuman and many other services!
Are you looking to get more out of our Ultrahuman integration? Check out our How It Works, which will walk you through how to unlock the full power of FitnessSyncer.
My Ultrahuman source only shows 90 days of data; can I get more?
A normal sync reaches back 90 days. To go further, you can do a Historic Sync with a Pro Account by editing your Ultrahuman source and selecting from the toolbar.
Each Historic Sync also covers 90 days, so if you have been wearing your Ring AIR for longer than that, run it again to reach the earlier months.
My Ultrahuman data is showing up on the wrong day.
Ultrahuman report their metrics a day at a time, so we have to decide where one day ends and the next begins. We use the time zone set in your FitnessSyncer preferences, which is not necessarily the one your phone was in when the reading was taken.
If your days look shifted, check that your FitnessSyncer time zone matches where you actually are.
Why is my blood oxygen a single number for the whole day?
Ultrahuman give us one average blood oxygen figure per day rather than the individual readings, so that is what we store. It is useful as a long-term trend, but it will not show you how your oxygen saturation moved during a particular night.
Where does my Ultrahuman body temperature come from?
We use the average body temperature Ultrahuman calculate from your night's sleep, recorded at the time you woke up. That is the same figure their own app shows you.
The ring also measures skin temperature throughout the day, and we deliberately leave that out. Skin temperature follows the room you are in as much as your body, so a daily average of it would not be a body temperature in any useful sense.
Why do I not see my workouts from Ultrahuman?
Ultrahuman do not share individual workouts through their API. What they share is a daily summary, so your steps, active minutes, average heart rate and VO2 max arrive as one Daily Summary entry per day rather than as separate sessions.
If you record your workouts with another app or watch, connect that as a second source and your sessions will come through from there.
Why does my Ultrahuman Daily Summary show no calories or distance?
Ultrahuman do not report either one. We could estimate a distance from your step count, but it would be a guess rather than something your ring measured, so we leave both blank instead of filling them with a number you cannot rely on.
I have an Ultrahuman M1, so why is there no glucose data?
Glucose needs its own permission. When you connect Ultrahuman you are asked what FitnessSyncer may read, and if the glucose permission was not granted then your readings never reach us.
Edit your Ultrahuman source and reconnect it to see that list again. If you only have the Ring AIR and no M1, there is no glucose data to share and this is expected.
Can FitnessSyncer send data to Ultrahuman?
No. Ultrahuman's API only lets us read data from their systems.
Why do my Ultrahuman scores not appear in FitnessSyncer?
Ultrahuman calculate several scores of their own, such as your Sleep Score, Recovery Index, Movement Index and Metabolic Score. These are their own formulas rather than measurements, and there is no way to compare them against the same-sounding score from another device, so we leave them in the Ultrahuman app and bring across the measurements they are built from instead.
How soon does last night's sleep appear?
Your ring has to sync to the Ultrahuman app first, and Ultrahuman then finish scoring the night before they share it. Until that is done we skip the night rather than store a partly calculated one, so it arrives on a later sync.
