My Account

The My Account page offers all of the configuration for your account. It is divided into a few tabs for easy navigation. These are:

  • Sources and Destinations: This is the configuration area for Sources and Destination Tasks
  • Goals: You can track your goals in FitnessSyncer to help you better perform.
  • Profile: These are profile settings such as password, preferences, heart rate zones, power zones, etc.
  • Permissions: This is where your FitnessSyncer apps and third-party connections are listed and can be remove any listed here if you wish.
  • Sharing: This is where you managed permissions you have granted to other users to share your data.
  • Subscription: This is the area to manage your subscription

Sources and Destinations

Sources and Destination Syncs Overview

The Sources and Destination Tab contains all of your Sources and Destination Tasks and allows you to add, edit, and delete these tasks.

Each item will indicate the name of the task, the last time it was updated, the current status of the task, and the actions for the task. Typical actions are:

  • Edit: See and change the existing configuration
  • Delete: Delete the task entirely
  • Sync Now: Executes a Sync or Refresh of the task

Tasks also include a Reset button. This will delete some history of the task which can help refresh data on the dashboard which has been changed or if you have changed filters. In general, you rarely should need to reset a task. Resetting will delete some task history and refresh any data on the dashboard which has been changed or if you have changed filters.

FitnessSyncer provides a variety of sources and destinations sources and most have minimal configuration required. Amazon S3, DropBox, Google Drive, OneDrive CSV is a notable exception.

Goals

Use FitnessSyncer to track your goals and automatically compare your goals with your data.

Profile

On the Profile page, you can change your FitnessSyncer Password or change your preferences for:

  • Use Metric Units such as Kilometers (KM), Kilograms (KG) and Meters instead of the Imperial Units of Miles, Yards, and Pounds (LBS) in the Dashboard and Stream and services which wish to distinguish between them.
  • Use International Dates and Times; instead of using the Month/Day/Year which we use in the US, use the Day/Month/Year format instead.
  • Permission for us to send you period e-mails with FitnessSyncer features.
  • Time zone: Primarily used within our UI, but some services may use this information to better upload data.
  • Height: For sources that do not contain a BMI, to calculate your Body Mass Index (BMI), we need your height. If you do not specify this, we will not calculate your BMI.
  • BMR: Basal Metabolic Rate is used for certain charts. If not specified, those charts will not be available.
  • Auto Sync on new Data: When we get new data from sources, do you wish to automatically run the destination tasks? Note: This is a Pro-only feature.
  • Prefer Distance over Steps Data: Some interfaces (such as Fitbit) only allow us to transfer Steps or Distance and will calculate the other. By default, we prefer steps. If this is checked, we will send distance instead.
  • Heart Rate Levels for the Heart Rate Charts in the Activity Analytics or some of the Dashboard Charts for Pro Users. Note: If notice a Zone 0 on our charts, it could be caused by either your configuration or your data.
  • Power Zones for the Activity Analytics or some of the Dashboard Charts for Pro Users. Power Zones are defined per activity type or none match, the Default Power Zones will be used.
  • Set your Display Name: The Display Name is used in certain data sharing scenarios.

Permissions

The permissions tab allows you to control the authentication of both our apps or third-party applications.

Once you have one or more applications authenticated against your account, you will see them listed on this tab. If you wish to remove or reset their access to your account, you can simply click the Remove button on this page.

The exact level of access these applications have on your account is approved when you authenticate against your account. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us.

Sharing

If you have shared any data from FitnessSyncer with other users, the Sharing tab will list those out. From this tab, you can remove access to those documents.

Subscriptions

Your subscription information is available from the Subscription tab on your account. For subscriptions purchased on FitnessSyncer.com, this allows you to subscribe to our services and change your subscription there. For subscriptions purchased from one of our Apps, you will need to manage the subscription within the app and the Apple App Store or Google Play.
