  FitnessSyncer and Le Chat

Le Chat can read your health and fitness data through the FitnessSyncer MCP Server, so you can ask about your own history in plain language instead of building a report for it. Ask what your resting heart rate has done since January, whether you sleep better on the days you train, or which source stopped syncing last week, and Le Chat answers from your data rather than from generalities.

It can record an entry for you as well, so a weigh-in or a note can be dictated in the same conversation. FitnessSyncer is added as a custom MCP connector, which is the same mechanism Le Chat uses for every other remote MCP server. Mistral Vibe connects differently, with an API Key; see Connecting with an API Key.

Before you start

  • A FitnessSyncer account with your sources connected. The MCP Server is included with every account, so there is nothing extra to buy; see Getting Started if you are new. A free account reaches back over less history here, exactly as it does everywhere else on the site.
  • A Le Chat account. Only an administrator can add a custom connector; on a Free, Pro or Student plan, that is you.

Add FitnessSyncer to Le Chat

  1. Open Connectors in Le Chat.
  2. Select “+ Add Connector” and switch to the Custom MCP Connector tab.
  3. Enter FitnessSyncer for the Connector name.
  4. Enter https://www.fitnesssyncer.com/services/mcp for the Server URL.
  5. Select Connect. Le Chat detects that FitnessSyncer uses OAuth 2.1, so leave the client ID and secret empty.
  6. When Le Chat sends you to FitnessSyncer, sign in and approve the permissions. FitnessSyncer says which site you will go back to; if it is not a Mistral site, do not continue. Uncheck anything you do not want Le Chat to do; for answering questions, the read permissions are enough.

There are no keys to create. Le Chat registers itself with FitnessSyncer the first time it connects. To stop Le Chat asking before each request, open the connector under My Connectors and turn on Always allow for the functions you are comfortable with, such as the ones that only read.

Try it

Start a new chat, enable FitnessSyncer from the connectors in the chat, and paste any of these to check that everything is working:

  • List all the apps and devices FitnessSyncer is currently connected to for my account and show when they last synced.
  • How did I sleep this week compared to last week?
  • What has my resting heart rate done over the last month?
  • Give me a weekly health overview based on everything FitnessSyncer knows about me, and call out anything that looks outside my normal range.

There are many more ideas on the MCP Server page. Le Chat uses FitnessSyncer’s tools only, so a request for a chart comes back as the numbers rather than a picture.

Le Chat explains your readings using public guidelines; this is not medical advice.

Le Chat says the connector could not be added. What should I check?

  • The URL must be exactly https://www.fitnesssyncer.com/services/mcp.
  • The Connector name cannot contain spaces or special characters.
  • If FitnessSyncer says the application is not allowed to register, please Contact Us so that we can look into it.

Does this cost extra?

Not from us. The FitnessSyncer MCP Server is available to any account, and a free account simply reaches back over less history, as described on the FitnessSyncer Pro page. Whether your Le Chat plan offers custom connectors is a question for Mistral.

How do I disconnect Le Chat?

Remove the connector in Le Chat, then remove Le Chat’s access in your profile.
