FitnessSyncer Widgets for iOS and Android
The FitnessSyncer app puts your data on your home screen, so you can see how things are going without opening it. Each widget shows what is already in your FitnessSyncer account, whatever device or service it came from.
Adding a widget
- On an iPhone or iPad, touch and hold an empty part of the home screen, tap Edit, then Add Widget, and search for FitnessSyncer.
- On Android, touch and hold an empty part of the home screen, tap Widgets, and find FitnessSyncer in the list.
Most widgets come in more than one size, and a larger size shows more. You need to be signed in to the FitnessSyncer app for a widget to show your data.
The widgets
- Sync health says whether all of your sources and destinations are working, when they last ran, and which ones need attention, with a button to sync now. It is the quickest way to find out that a connection stopped working.
- Last 7 days shows the week behind, a row per day, made of what was recorded on each day.
- Goals shows how your goals are going, with a projection for the ones that have no deadline.
- Health numbers shows the latest value of up to four measurements you pick when you add it, such as resting heart rate, weight or sleep.
- Glucose shows your latest glucose reading and the time it was taken, in the units set in your Profile.
- Latest activity shows your most recent session and the readings from it, or the latest item of another kind of data you choose when you add it.
- Leaderboard shows where you stand on a leaderboard, and who is just ahead of you and just behind.
How up to date is a widget?
When new data reaches your account, FitnessSyncer tells your phone to refresh its widgets, usually within a few minutes. This works even with FitnessSyncer’s notifications turned off. A widget can only be as recent as the data behind it: a service that FitnessSyncer checks on a schedule rather than one that tells us about new data straight away arrives on that schedule, and the widget follows.
Tapping a widget opens the FitnessSyncer app on the matching screen.
