Nutrition and Water
A Nutrition item records food, water, or both. A meal can carry its calories, carbohydrates, fat, saturated fat, protein, fiber, sugar, sodium, cholesterol, potassium, calcium, iron and vitamins A, C and D, along with which meal it was and what you ate. A glass of water is a Nutrition item too.

You can also log a meal or a drink yourself in the FitnessSyncer Notebook. Your units for water and for energy, calories or kilojoules, are set in your Preferences.
Food and water are kept apart
Food and water are two separate halves of an entry, and either can be missing. When we send your entries to another service, a drink of water goes across as water and never as a meal with nothing in it.
Can I track the water I drink?
Yes. Our Nutrition source reads the water you drink from the services that record it, and you can log it yourself in our Notebook.
Seeing what you eat
The Dashboard charts your calories by meal and each of your nutrients over time, and you can set a goal for the calories or carbohydrates you eat each day. Your meals also appear on your Stream and in the Daily Analyzer.
Meals and glucose
If you also record your glucose, the Diabetes and Glucose Report charts it against your carbohydrates and glycemic load. With a continuous glucose monitor running, a meal you have eaten at least three times shows your glucose after each of them on one chart, so you can see what that meal does to you; see Compared with your other entries.
Asking your AI assistant
With the FitnessSyncer MCP Server, an AI assistant can show you what your usual breakfast does to your glucose by comparing this morning’s with the other times you ate it.
